- Ben Jones
- Thanks for visiting my blog. I am a Conservative Parliamentary Candidate and fought Halton in the 2010 General Election, achieving a 3% swing from Labour to the Conservatives. Away from politics I work for the General Medical Council as Director of Strategy and Communication and prior to that I worked for several years in management consultancy with Accenture and KPMG. I was born in Liverpool in 1978 and lived in Rainhill and St Helens. I went to my local state primary and secondary schools, and studied Politics at the University of Liverpool. I was the first member of my family to go to University. I now live in London with my wife but spend lots of time in the North West working, campaigning, and visiting family and friends. I am a governor of a primary school in London.
